Shifting Sands

about

Originally recorded for a West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band comp but never released. John likes this, lots of other people do too. Gayle only needed to loop her guitar part 4 times which she was pretty impressed by but apart from that, feels it’s not on a par with other covers we did like “Things Behind the Sun”, “Sky Men”, “Rats” or “666 The Number of the Beast”. Can you guess which record the wind effect is stolen from?

about

Electroscope Glasgow, UK

Following a decade recording solo as Pefkin and Phosphene, Gayle Brogan and John Cavanagh are back playing pin matrix games for May, combining the sounds of a VCS3 synthesizer, a 1950s radio microphone and vortex of vocals.
