about

The first ever Electroscope recording, made to test a Ferrograph reel-to-reel machine in advance of recording the surf band the Interceptors. We intend to make a fully fledged recording but somehow we did! We nicked the title of both the song and of our band from Everyday Electronics magazines.

Recorded in Pink's Attic Chamber onto Ferrograph Series 4, which John found in a skip at Jordanhill College.

Following a decade recording solo as Pefkin and Phosphene, Gayle Brogan and John Cavanagh are back playing pin matrix games for May, combining the sounds of a VCS3 synthesizer, a 1950s radio microphone and vortex of vocals.
