about

We opened our first ever live show at the 12 Bar Club in London with this. Other bands on the bill were Rhatigan and Hefner; Suzanne Rhatigan played with us and became an honorary live Electroscopian every time we played down there. The response at the end of the song was ... total silence!
The track features the long-dead sound of shortwave radio which both John and Gayle recall from their youth listening to transistor radios.

about

Electroscope Glasgow, UK

Following a decade recording solo as Pefkin and Phosphene, Gayle Brogan and John Cavanagh are back playing pin matrix games for May, combining the sounds of a VCS3 synthesizer, a 1950s radio microphone and vortex of vocals.
